Our tree surgeons in Stockport have been busy over the last few months working on a wide range of jobs in Bredbury, Marple and other parts of the Stockport area.

Our tree surgeons have felled a number of trees for various reasons over the last few months, including:
- Trees that were at risk of snapping or toppling over due to high winds.
- Trees that were positioned in parts of the garden that blocked all of the sunlight; for all trees we remove we encourage a new one is planted elsewhere in their place.

Tree Stump Removal in Stockport
When tree surgeons remove trees, stump removal or stump grinding isn’t always included in the service, as some clients simply don’t want to remove the whole stump. Some of our recent clients have moved in to properties where stumps are present that they wish to remove, which requires different machinery than when we are felling a tree.
We use our state of the art stump grinder to remove all remains of the stump, allowing for extra space in the garden, as well as minimising the risk of any wood boring insects infesting the garden.
Tree Pruning in Stockport
Many of our customers have issues with trees that black out a lot of sunlight, but rather than removing the whole tree, often you can trim or prune it back, keeping the tree in place whilst allowing for more sun to reach your garden.
Pruning also encourages healthy growth and maintains certain shapes, so if you want to promote growth or tidy things up a bit, regular pruning is advised.
Hedge Trimming in Stockport
As well as pruning we’ve carried out many trimming jobs recently, mainly working on shrubs such as laurels. Using a hedge trimmer on a hedge or bush allows for a much neater finish than using shears, as the machinery we use allows for an even, straight finish.
Some of our clients request rounded shapes for the shrubs, whereas others want more of a blocked square shape; each option results in a neat finish which can attract more wildlife due to inner hedge being more dense.
