Tree Surgery costs differ dependent on a large number of factors; complexity of the job, amount of work carried out, size of the trees etc. but we’ve put together an average of what you should expect to pay.
Sometimes a job can be a lot cheaper than the costs listed below, or a lot more expensive dependent on your requirements, so we advise you always contact us before making a decision on any work carried out.
But if you’ve been wondering how much does a tree surgeon charge, below will give you an idea.
Tree Removal Costs
When we quote for tree removal or felling we take in to account a variety of factors such as the size of the tree, the trees overhang (which could pose more risk to surrounding buildings), the trees accessibility and much more.
Small trees in easily accessible areas, such as large gardens are generally at the much lower end of the scale, however larger mature trees, or particularly challenging trees, such as the Poplar will be at the much higher end of the scale.
On average between £150 – £850+
Tree Stump Removal Cost (Stump Grinding)
As with the above, a variety of factors influence the cost, such as the size of the stump, which determines the size of the equipment we will need to use. Please note that stump removal is also different to root removal; stump removal grinds the stump down in to very tiny pieces so it’s no longer visible but doesn’t remove the root below the ground.
Tree stumps below 1ft in diameter will be towards the cheaper end of the scale, whereas larger stumps will be towards the higher end.
On average between £150 – £550+
Hedge Cutting Costs
The price of hedge cutting is largely dependent on the area/size of the hedge you want cutting, however there are other factors that come in to play. Dependent on where the hedge is located, this can increase prices if it’s hard to reach or is positioned in awkward places, such as behind a pond.
Hedge cutting prices also differ from hedge removal, which requires more work and often extra machinery.
On average between £150 – £500+
Tree Pruning Costs
As with all the other services we carry out the price of tree pruning relies on a number of factors, such as the height of the tree and its accessibility.
On average between £150 – £600+
We hope the above has given you a guide on what to expect to pay for certain jobs, however remember these are just averages and actual costs will differ.
